BioFocus And Usher III Initiative, Inc. Announce Collaboration

BioFocus and the Usher III Initiative, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, announced recently that they have embarked on a drug discovery project focused on Usher Syndrome Type III. Usher Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that causes the loss of hearing and vision.

Madison High School officials say they are taking steps to prevent the spread of viral meningitis after a staffer was diagnosed with the disease. Superintendent Vince Schaefer told the Madison Daily Leader that officials have disinfected a room at the school and made hand sanitizers available.
